John Blackford
Hi John
I read the things you remembered growing up in Chauncey.  I remember most of the things you mentioned and also, sledding down the school house hill and Nye's hill over by the cemetery in the winter and going up on Nye's hill to fly our kits in March.  Also seeing how far we could walk on the rails of the railroad track without falling off.  I remember picking Blackberries around the coal mine, and watching out for snakes.  I also remember walking up to Pincille's pond up across from the swinging bridge and swimming there.
